Fruit N Nut Chocolate Truffles Recipe

Food keeps the body going. One needs to intake food in order to be energized and get going throughout the whole day. After every meal, there would just be times wherein you will be craving for sweet desserts, and in this article you will learn a very simple fruit n nut chocolate truffles recipe, that even kids can make it themselves.

Chocolate is the top most flavor used in desserts, you can find chocolate cakes, chocolate puddings, cheesecake, and many more. This is even one of the most gifted food of all. Truffles for example is a good idea if you want to give something to someone who loves sweets. This coming valentines, you might want to consider this as your gifts to your loved ones.

Now, that everyone has the time and the energy to do that. Others are even on a budget, so even when they want to eat some dessert, they do not just have the money for it. There is a solution for that, and that would be to make a dessert of your own. Yes, many of you may think that doing your very own can be expensive compared to buying, and it is even time consuming.

Prepare this set of ingredients. Six ounces of chopped baking chocolate, semi sweet, you may use white chocolate if you like. Two tablespoons of butter, one fourth cup heavy whipped cream, a cup of semisweet white or chocolate chips, one tablespoon shortening, and finely chopped fruits and nuts.

Steps. Line your baking sheet with an aluminum foil. Melt chocolate in a saucepan over low fire, stir constantly. Put some butter and whipping cream on it, and let it melt. Pour this mixture in a bowl and refrigerate it for about ten to 15 minutes, while still stirring frequently. Do this until the mixture is thick enough for molding.

Line cookie sheet and put teaspoonfuls of mixture on it. Put it again in the refrigerator for five minutes or just until they are firm enough for shaping. Make them into ball shapes and freeze it for about 30 minutes. In another saucepan, melt the chocolate chips and the shortening in low fire until smooth.

Preheat your oven into 350 degrees. In a baking sheet, spread pecans and bake it for about 8 to 10 mins, until they are toasted. Let it cool before finely chopping. Mix together chocolate, orange zest, vanilla, and salt. Heat butter and cream in a saucepan, fire should be medium low. Pour your steaming hot butter and cream into the chocolate, then let it sit for about 10 mins.

Things to keep in mind. The shortening that was used for this recipe is very important as it helps the coating set in order for it to not melt that easy. For those of you who plans on presenting the truffles as gifts, a wise thing to do in order to keep the truffles separated from one another would be to put each one of them in a decorative cup.

Put parchment in a baking sheet. Scoop a spoonful of mixture and put it into the sheet you prepared. After dividing the mixture, roll them into round, smooth balls. Last step is to roll the balls in sanding sugar. Make sure you keep your truffles refrigerated and keep them in airtight containers so it may last for three days.
